WP5: Demonstration of business models for forest ecosystem services

WP5 (Lead: CTFC) comprises all activities related to the design and implementation of the business models in selected pilot demonstrations, taking into account the regional socio-economic and ecological conditions. Within each pilot demonstration, the options for providing FES (e.g. timber and non-timber forest products, carbon, biodiversity, recreation, wildlife, protection against gravitational hazards), ES providers, beneficiaries, governance structure and the policy framework will be considered in the design of forest resource management plans and the application of innovative business models. A participatory evaluation of the implemented business models together with stakeholders and experts will lead to conclusions and lessons learned that can inform new policies (to be developed in WP 4).
