“Payments for Ecosystem Services: Forest for Water” and “Ecosystem Services Science, Policy and Practice in the face of Global Changes” as virtual and hybrid events tackle two different aspects of ES.
The final conference of the PESFOR-W COST Action is looking into the positive impact that woodlands and trees can have on water quality, and how the instruments of payments for ecosystem services can co-fund tree-based interventions by land owners and land managers. In two morning sessions you will be introduced in the state-of-the-art in the field, and the work done by the members of the COST action. Three stakeholders from policy, science and practice will illustrate what Woodland-for-Water PES can do and how they implement them.

In Tartu, Estonia, the 3rd Ecosystem Services Partnership Europe Conference is planned as hybrid-event, allowing for both in-person and digital participation. The worldwide network to enhance the science, policy and practice of ecosystem services for conservation and sustainable development will organise this four days event with field trips, breakout sessions and of course key note speeches as well as an ES market place for projects, businesses, products and organisations.
